Windsurfing: Shoreham Wind Direction: SW Wind Stength: Session time = 2-4.15pm Surf / Sea State: LT@2.20pm Air Temperature: Sea Temperature: Weather: Sunny spells Max Speed: Distance Covered:
I lucked in with a very mild, dry, windy wavey Wednesday afternoon off work
and the result was a cracking sail at Shoreham. Solid waveboard 5.2 weather
for the whole session but nothing particular to write home about until the
tidal sweet spot was entered around an hour and a half after low tide. Then
the crumbly dumpy rubbish began holding up into long peaky walls which in
combintation with a slight veer to a more cross-shore wind direction
allowed multiple full power frontside turns if timing was right. With some
great jumping thrown in this really was Shoreham proper good, my first
really decent south coast session in months, and a big shame that bad light
had to bring a premature halt to playtime. It may not have been Gwitihian
but it was still waveriding by anyone's description, i.e. the reason why I
do this sport. Great session. :->
